HHO a Scam? Not even close and here’s why…

Occasionally I will have someone point a jagged finger at me and loudly proclaim “This is a scam! You can’t have more energy out than you put in!” ANy further attempts to reason with them turns out to be a waste of time- they don’t want to hear anything outside their preconceived ideas.

How do I respond? I tell them that they are right about the energy- wrong about the scam thing. Why? Because that’s not what is happening here.

The calculations everyone is using (and they all seem copied and pasted from the same few posts), do NOT take into account the horrible inefficiencies of the modern Internal combustion engine. There are so many losses in the process that the actual energy reaching the ground is about 15-18%. One of the biggest losses is through the heat and unburnt fuel, which is why every car has to have an expensive platinum catalytic converter onboard, and why Hydrogen and HHO generators can be such a help.

HHO Gas actually burns 10 times faster than gasoline. Faster burn rates means less heat is transferred to the engine block as waste. More complete combustion (due to extra hybrid fuel of hydrogen and oxygen) results in less waste going out the tailpipe.

And all this just using the energy of an expensive stereo (less than 500 watts).

If the energy used to dissassociate the covalent bonds in water is too hard for the critics to wrap their head around- what would happen if we eliminate that energy spent? Then what kind of efficiency are we looking at?

Impossible? Not necessarily; Case in point…

Here is an article on an energy harvesting product that simply uses the difference in air temps at the exhaust to generate electricity- just a 30 degree difference can generate 750 watts of power.

SO what happens if you use one of those to power an independent battery to run your HHO generator? That eliminates any drain on your engine and removes that from the equation, yet your car would still get the 20-40% gain in mileage.Interesting quandary for the critics- wouldn’t you say?

Yes! We just got word from Andy J. that he’s already got the new Hybrid Cell installed in his 92 Ford Explorer (with 150,000 miles on it). He wrote to tell me that his mileage went from 17 mpg to 23.8 mpg! YES! Way to go Andy- you rock!

WOW! After an AMAZING Pre-Launch Weekend and record sales that resulted in a Sell-Out Event, our new line of HHO Generators have finally arrived!

Most parts got here on Friday, the last of them arriving Saturday to an A-Team of assemblers with tools in their hands ready to attack these like mad robots with a mission!

Parts were flying, boxes were being ripped apart, cleaning solutions being sloshed, inventory counted and stacked…and that was just in the first 15 minutes!

Everything fit precisely as engineered and planned, and they look beautiful as you can see in the photo above (bubblers are on the top shelf- included with your kit)!

Our hard working team worked late into the night, giving up their Saturday (and Sunday) plans to get these babies put together for those of you who have been so patient through this amazing time.

Hacker Unsuccessful in Stopping Sales of HHO Kits!

The malicious attacks of a sub-human hacker who attempted to shut us down permanently have been stopped! The attacks were aimed primarily at our hhokitsdirect.com site and our build your own generator site and were accomplished by complex DDOS and Botnet attacks aimed at preventing traffic from reaching our sites by overloading it from 20 different IP addresses at the same time.

We would stop them, and 2 hours later get hit again. Over and over and over for weeks. Someone REALLY does NOT want this information out, and apparently we are threatening to someone…

The FBI and Attorney General will be notified and we will prosecute to the fullest extent of the law if they turn out to originate from the US.

We had to temporarily disable our 105 videos included in our do it yourself manual, because that was their original way in.

Cash For Clunkers Program Hits A Wall

clunker_4801Cash For Clunkers Program is hitting a major wall as once again we see the absolute inefficiencies of the government to run ANYTHING in the private sector. Bogged down in red tape, corruption, and paperwork- the dealers who instigated this program to receive $3500-$4500 rebates from the gov’t to help revitalize the car industry, have been overwhelmed with slow server responses, very slow rebates, and now maybe even a stoppage to this week old program.

They also don’t know what to do about the mounting pile of clunkers that have been MANDATED to be destroyed, even if they are still running.

Here is an excerpt from the article…

“There is absolute frustration across the board,” Alex Kurkin, a lawyer based in Miami who represents several car dealerships, tells The Lede today. “As of this morning, they’re not really confident about any deals, and no one can give them advice about what they should be telling their customers.”

It is still not clear what the outcome will be- as this will destroy the parts that could have been sold to help maintain existing older cars as well as remove affordable running cars from society where many people cannot afford new ones. There is a huge demographic of people who can’t afford more than a $4000 car - but once agian, this program will cause a shotage to the people who need it worst.

Today, dealers are frantically trying to move the old trade-ins to the scrap heap so that they can get reimbursement before the money tap shuts off. Until they can certify that the car has been decommissioned, they cannot submit their paperwork to be repaid.

In any case, Ms. Maggio said, dealers are “hitting the panic button” today.

“Oh my God, what a mess today,” Sally Ann Maggio, who co-owns Hackensack Auto Wreckers, also in New Jersey, said on Friday. We visited her car-crushing business on Thursday. She didn’t think much of the program to begin with.

Ms. Maggio said she generally makes her profit by reselling the engines, the most valuable parts of the cars she takes, but that’s not posible with the cars coming to her because of the cash for clunkers program, because they have been rendered unusable. That cuts down the salvage value of the cars — and the incentive for salvage yards and wreckers to take them — to almost nothing, considering the time and energy they must spend in going to the dealer, towing back the dead cars, removing the engines, crushing the bodies and shipping them to a metal scrap shredder and recyclers.

And, of course, the process reduces the supply of used engines for people who can’t afford to buy a new car and come to the salvage yard looking to fix up old ones.

How is this supposed to clean up the environment again? Destroy perfectly good cars (not all of them are ready for the junk yard!), use energy to remove them from service, energy to recycle them, energy to manufacture new parts because of the shortage of old parts, etc., etc.

My proposal- get the government to subsidize installations of inexpensive HHO generators in the cars instead. That would only cost $400-$800 tops, clean up the environment, increase the gas mileage, and help people who can’t afford a new car to save money…

But then that solution wouldn’t help the new Government Motors corp (GM). Read the rest of the article here…

What about Freezing Temperatures?

This is a common question brought up about using HHO kits and on demand hydrogen generators in freezing and sub-zero climates.

The electrolyte helps prevent freezing down to single digit weather- at most it turns into a slush that quickly thaws once turned on. The bubbler can be filled with windshield washer fluid or gas anti-freeze. Some have used denatured alcohol also with success. Extreme cold requires insulation and a pipe heater or battery warmer.

This is still a new industry and advances are being made every day. We are currently working with the engineers of a company here in the US that is helping us develop an awesome solution for this problem. As soon as we have it available- I’ll alert everyone on our email list.

Cleaning the Plate Stack

I often get readers and customers writing in asking me how they can clean the stainless steel plates of their HHO generator, without completely disassembling the whole unit. Since this question came in today, I thought I would use it to kick off this section of my blog…

First- you have to understand what made the plates turn black in the first place- there are generally four reasons:

1) Water (distilled only please!)

2) Type of stainless (316 is way better than 302 or 304)

3) Type of electrolyte ( KOH or NaOH only - if you used Baking Soda you get a slap on the hand- bad boy. Don’t do that again!)

4) Amount of Current (over voltage or over current will over crank your plates and burn them- it can also melt the container so don’t do it!)

So now we figured out what went wrong- how do we fix it without tearing everything apart? I got just the solution…

clr This stuff is great- CLR (Calcium Lime Rust). Get a quart of it and pour it right into the generator (after draining it of course!) or if you removed the plate stack- pour it into a container large enough to cover the entire stack of metal.

Let it soak all night for best results- next day rinse it several times with fresh water and voila! They will look like brand new.

Now make sure you take care of the other things mentioned above so you don’t have this same problem again!

You should also do this if you notice a decrease in performance of your generator after a few months. We will talk mor eof this later…
